Breuckelen 77 Rye & Corn Whiskey - A Rye Grows in Brooklyn

Breuckelen Distilling Company is located in Brooklyn, NY. Brad Estabrooke owns Breuckelen Distilling, which he founded in 2010 after leaving a career as a securities trader. The company  produces small-batch spirits such as gin and whiskey. Their Glorious Gin has been a staple for some years, and it quite excellent.

Breuckelen Distilling's "77 Local Rye & Corn Whiskey," a New York-made spirit with a mash bill of 90% rye and 10% corn is a special rye whiskey, with notes of spice, with flavors of  banana nut bread, vanilla, and brown sugar, and a hints of black pepper and Christmas spice. Breuckelen is among my favorite producers. And puts out sophisticated bottlings. A great whiskey perfect for cocktails or able to stand up to ice. A tremendous whiskey with bold flavors, well balanced and complex.

One of New York State's better ryes. A rye grows in Breuckelen.
