Located in Lubbock, Texas, McPherson Vineyards in nestled in the Texas High Plains AVA. McPherson Cellars was created to honor Winemaker Kim McPherson’s father Dr. Clinton “Doc” McPherson, a founder and pioneer of the modern Texas wine industry. His father planted his earliest vineyards in the 1960s, Kim completed his enology and viticulture studies at UC Davis in the 1970s before heading off to work in Napa Valley. Since then, Kim has helped create a high water mark of quality winemaking in Texas.
McPherson Vineyards Brut Sparkling Wine is made from 100% Chenin Blanc aged on the lees 6 months before bottling. Lovely tropical and floral notes on the nose. This sparkler is bright, clean and fresh. Notes of lemon and green apple give way to shortbread. Zippy acidity with refreshing acidity with a hint of sweetness. Chenin Blanc aged on the lees 6 months before bottling. Dosage 10g/l.
