The Bedell Cellars Cabernet Franc 2022 is made from hand-selected clones, on their 100-acre sustainable farm, fermented with indigenous yeasts. and then aged in older French oak barrels to preserve. The result is a wine of elegance and finesse. James Molesworth of the Wine Spectator said “Fresh black cherry and black currant fruit flavors are laced with a mouthwatering tobacco streak, with a subtle tug of earth on the juicy finish.” 'I could not have said it better. An amazing wine with a depth that is powerful and impressive. But smooth and so very drinkable. You can sip this all you want, but it cries out for food too. A tremendous wine.

I did not taste the new Bedell Cellars Cabernet Franc 2023, But these release is immenent. The winemaker's notes for it read "purple flowers and red fruits, juicy and ripe, focused and powerful, silky tannins, meutral oak aged." Can't wait to taste it.

I have always been a fan of Bedell's Cabernet Franc, but these latest vintages have been tremendous. Noses of blueberries and violets. And on the palate, deep, soulful, powerful, without being overwhelming. Deep and dark in color and flavor, without the big tannins that make them uber drinkable.
