South County Distillers was founded by Ryan Gwozdz and Alan Brinton. The craft distillery is located in Westerly, Rhode Island, and shares a campus with Grey Sail Brewing, which Alan co-owns with his wife, Jennifer Brinton.
Starts off with South County's vodka as a base. The spirit is made from a select blend of rye and wheat - which makes for a really smooth base spirit. South County teamed up with Dave’s Coffee (which has branches in Charlestown and Providence, RI), utilizing Dave's Spray Rock roast which features a medium-blend, wet hulled washed blend of Indonesian and South American roasted beans. South County produces a fresh batch of cold brewed espresso and blends it with their South County Vodka. Though South County adds a small dose of sugar for smoothness, this is not a sweet liqueur. Instead it tastes very much like a fresh cup of espresso with little to no sugar on the palate. Smooth and rich and luxurious, this bottling offers rich notes of espresso and dark, dark chocolate, and a hint of hazelnut. Absolutely fantastic!!!!
This is a spectacular dry, flavorful, and tasty liqueur! Perfect alone or in a cocktail. Fantastic!
