Fox Run Dry Riesling 2024 is an exceptional wine. Peter Bell and now Craig Hosbach have made a name with this Riesling for some time now. But the 2024 is among one of the best that the vineyard has ever produced. The fruit is from Seneca Lake. This wine starts off super fragrant and carries through on the palate. It features aromas and notes of pineapple, honeysuckle blossoms, tangerine, tropical notes as well as apricot, nectarine, and ending with lime. The wine is bone dry, and super crisp with dazzling acidity, where that lime kicks in. A terrific zesty finish. This wine exhibits tremendous complexity, with layer upon layer of scenets and flavors that open up with each sip. Sophisticated, elegant, and well structured, Fox Run Dry Riesling 2024 could stand out in Europe or Oregon or Niagara-on-the Bench. But it doesn't need to. It stands up bright and brilliant on it own right here in the Finger Lakes. An absolute candidate for wine of the year.
