I was with Lenn and Nena Thompson and Michael Gorton Jr. tasting wines the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was a great evening, as we have done this annually for a few years now. One of the wines Lenn poured for us was Paumanok's Chenin Blanc 2025.
Always a fan of Kareem Massoud's Paumanok Chenin Blanc. But this newest offering, being bottled and released early, is absolutely a burst of sunshine. A big bold statement of Granny Smith apples explodes off the wine, with notes of melon and tropical fruits. Hints of apricot and pineapple. But the ending is a zesty, bold citrus bomb of a finish, leaving your mouth watering, and wanting more. An absolutely astonishing wine. An incredible experience. It's like spring has come early! Buy multiple bottles. This wine is terrific!
