Rave Review of "Drink The Northeast" in German whiskey magazine DER WHISKY BOTSHAFTER

I was recently notified of a review for DRINK THE NORTHEAST from the German whiskey magazine DER WHISKY BOTSHAFTER. Was thrilled with this news. The notice was written by Frank Winter.
"Carlo De Vito's productivity is remarkable. In recent years, The New Single Malt Whiskey, Big Whiskey and The Spirit of Rye have been published, all three of which are as comprehensive as they are informative. His latest book "Drink the Northeast"... fits in perfectly."

Carlo De Vito's productivity is remarkable. In recent years, The New Single Malt Whiskey, Big Whiskey and The Spirit of Rye have been published, all three of which are as comprehensive as they are informative. His latest book "Drink the Northeast" (from the USA; F.W.) fits in perfectly. On a good 500 pages he entertains us with his visits to distilleries, breweries and wineries. The fact that it is not exclusively about whiskey is no reason to worry Sadness: Beer and whiskey are kind of- Ben cousins, we know finishes in a variety of barrels and it never hurts to think outside the box.

The author has been traveling New England for 35 years: "'The Northeast is one of the most exciting beverage regions in North America." Wherever you open the book, this assessment is confirmed. It is broken down into the states of Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts , Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Day trips to neighboring states such as New York included.

One of the most beautiful combinations of beer and whiskey is certainly "Black Ops" from the Brooklyn Brewery and Four Roses: Russian Imperial Stout, stored for twelve months in ex-bourbon barrels. The bottle then contains additional fermentation takes place. Legendary brewer Garrett Oliver says the beer will continue to mature for years. It is admirable to see someone who can control themselves for so long! Let's stay in Brooklyn and another modern classic, Colin Spoelman and David Haskell's Kings County Distillery. Bourbon, peated bourbon, bottled-in-bond bourbon, barrel strength and rye whiskeys, including Empire Rye and White Unaged Rye, come from here. As is well known, Dave Pickerell's last creation was a rye whiskey. For Piggyback in Vermont he created an exquisite wine, stored for ten years in American white oak, then finished in bourbon barrels. One can hardly imagine a more beautiful legacy.

"...excellent texts and photos."

“Drink the Northeast” comes in a handy format and is suitable for travel. If you still have this ahead of you, you can also keep yourself entertained at home with excellent texts and photos.
