Kathleen Willcox lives and works in Saratoga Springs, New York, and travels as frequently as she can to learn more from wine growers and makers. As a freelance journalist, her work covers wine, beer, food, and culture. Her writing has appeared in Wine-Searcher, SevenFifty Daily, VinePair, Wine Enthusiast, and other publications. Kathleen has been tearing it up these days. Her writing is everywhere! And she now travels much more than I ever have - and that's saying a lot!
Full disclosure, Kathleen is a friend of mine. Recently, I was shown a book by winemaker and wine historian Steve Casscles entitled "Hudson Valley Wine" by Tessa Edick and Kathleen Willcox. The book came out some time ago, but I only saw the pages written about us just recently. I felt badly. Kathleen, working on the book, wrote some very nice things about me and about our former vineyard, Hudson-Chatham Winery. And even though this acknowledgement is late, I thought I would note it nonetheless. She reviewed our wines, and explains the history of the valley. Very grateful for her kind treatment of me and the winery. Reading this all these years later makes me very proud. And reminded me of many fond memories. From working the vineyard, promoting the region (which I continue to do), to winemaking.

Many, many thanks to Kathleen for the mentions...and the memories.
