Founded in 1999, the family business specializes in innovative wines, artisanal spirits, honey wines (meads), and hard ciders. They own Montezuma Winery & Hidden Marsh Distillery in Seneca Falls; Idol Ridge Winery & Alder Creek Distillery in Lodi; and Swedish Hill Winery & Vineyard in Romulus. :

Marquette was introduced in 2006 by the University of Minnesota. It is known as a disease resistant red grape variety that produces medium-bodied, dry, red wine. It is cold hardy and disease resistant, and makes a lovely, Syrah-styled wine (it share's no parentage with that grape).

Martin Family Marquette Nouveau 2025 is made for estate fruit, 100% Marquette, aged in neutral oak. It is a light-bodied, fruity, juicy dry red wine. It is soft and approachable, and straight forward in the best possible sense. On the nose and on the palate, notes of luscious black cherry, fresh strawberry, and fresh made cranberry sauce mingle. There's a lovely acidity that keeps the fruit fresh through the whole experience. This incredible, easy wine is just what the doctor ordered as a terrific summer red, and as a wonderful wine for Thanksgiving.
