Bohemia Farm, also known as Milligan Hall, is a historic home located on the Bohemia River at Earleville, Cecil County, Maryland. It is a five bays wide, Flemish bond brick Georgian style home built about 1743.The vineyards at Bohemia Manor Farm (a 440-acre estate) were first planted in 2014, originally operating under the name Chateau Bu-De. The property underwent a massive renovation and rebrand after being acquired by Vivamee Resorts in 2024, expanding into a full luxury resort, winery, and dining destination.
Gabriel Santiago Rubilar makes the wines. An Argentinian winemaker with extensive experience, he was brought on by the estate in 2024 to spearhead and expand their wine production programs. Prior to joining Bohemia Manor Farm, Rubilar crafted wines at several Pennsylvania vineyards, including Paradocx, 1723, and Chaddsford Winery.
The first time I sampled the wine was at the Eastern Winery Exposition 2026, in Richmond, Virginia along with Michael Kaiser, David Falchek, and Richard Leahy.
The Bohemia Manor Farm Pinot Noir 2025 was a light bodied red wine that started off with notes of violets, young cherries, strawberry, and black currant. This continued to have lovely, and lively fruit flavors throughout with a lovely dollop of spice and a white pepper soft finish, with the cherries and strawberries lingering. A very very impressive wine.
