Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars is a family-owned and operated winery located on Seneca Lake in Lodi, NY. It is owned by founder Mark Wagner and his nephew Josh Wig. Mark founded the winery in 1990, and Josh Wig—a retired Naval Officer and fourth-generation farmer—joined as co-owner in 2007. I have been in love with their wines almost since the first releases. My entries date back to 2009. Terrific stuff.
Lamoreaux Landing Unoaked Cabernet Franc MJW Vineyard 2024 is a medium bodied red wine with a lovely red color. On the nose, the first notes of bright and dark cherries, red raspberries, and stewed plums Notes of dried fruits. There are notes of vanilla, graphite, and white and black pepper. It's a lovely, soft, approachable red wine with enough tannins and acidity to offer structure and lasting fruit. This wine is layered, complex, and well balanced wine.
