Since 2004, founder Scott Elliff, has been growing grapes at DuCard nestled at the eastern edge of the Shenandoah National Park in the shadow of Old Rag Mountain and White Oak Canyon. Elliff originally sold his grapes to a winery up the road (including a Virginia Governor’s Cup best wine). DuCard expanded production and opened to the public in 2010, with a spacious new tasting room and boutique winery.
Julien Durantie is the award-winning winegrower and winemaker, bringing childhood experience from his family’s Bordeaux vineyard to Virginia. His passion and creativity inform the entire DuCard lineup.
