I had it the other night at the New York State Liquor Store Association show at the Crowne Plaza Albany/Desmond Hotel. There I tried some whiskey from Three Chord Bourbon. Neil Giraldo

Flipside Triple Wood is one the series of bottles that look like old albums or 45s from back in the vinyl days. "We wanted to pay homage to not just the musicians, but the graphic designers, the concert photographers, and anyone else that creates, or just admires, these works of art. We started looking at old Blue Note Records album covers. We were inspired by the designs of old Thelonious Monk, Tampa Red, and Lou Donaldson records," says the company. "The artists featured on the labels vary greatly, from unknowns to icons, but what these pictures all have in common is that they capture not just a moment, but a feeling."
Flipside traditionally meant what was on the other side of the record. Three Chord Triple Wood is Kentucky Straight Bourbon (45% ABV/90 Proof) finished in multiple barrels of French oak and American oak barrels. This starts off with lovely notes of cereal and caramel and notes of baked apple. The middle had spice and some bite, but finished with lovely touches of pepper, spice, lots of vanilla and toffee. A terrific whiskey.
It's certified Gold Record whiskey!
