Rosen rye is a type of winter rye. The grain was first developed in the United States by Joseph A. Rosen in the mid-1910s. Rosen Rye instantly became a favorite of distillers, with good composition and great flavor. But with the advent of Prohibition, the grain was discontinued, and eventually became lost to time. Hermann was among the first to start propogating Rosen rye for Dad's Hat.
If you wanna try anything, the best rye I have had in a long time Is there Syrah finished rye whiskey. Absolutely astounding. Always love what they are doing!
Also love their pre-prohibition rye a lovely young rye that is smooth and super easy to drink.
