Old Westminster Winery was one of the biggest surprises and hits of the Grand Tasting on the second day at the Drink Local Wine 2013 conference held in Baltimore earlier this year. Old Westminster Winery hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 24, 2013, marking its official entry into the in Carroll County business community. In attendance were Carroll County's Maryland House of Delegates Susan Krebs and Justin Ready; Bonnie Staub, Carroll County's Tourism Official; Kevin Atticks of the Maryland Wineries Association; and the Baker Family, Old Westminster’s proprietors. A celebratory toast featuring Old Westminster Winery 2012 Chardonnay concluded the event.
