Jan 10: One-of-a-Kind MD Wine Event

Maryland’s Winter Wine at Evergreen event is shaping up to be a wonderful, one-of-a-kind evening. There is still time to purchase tickets to sample over 30 Eventbrite - Winter Wine at Evergreen Museum & Libraryof Maryland's best wines. You'll taste some old-favorite "Best in Class" wines, as well as some new finds.

Guests looking for an upgraded experience can purchase a pass to the sparkling wine reception and tour of the museum and mansion starting at 6 p.m. The Evergreen Museum & Library, the country residence of two generations of Baltimore’s philanthropic Garrett family, features Asian arts; European paintings by Degas, Modigliani, and Zuloaga; American art glass by Louis Comfort Tiffany; and the John Work Garrett Library of rare books and manuscripts. Paintings by Pablo Picasso and Raoul Dufy also grace the halls of the mansion.

Musicians from the Peabody Institute will perform and Baltimore caterer Chef’s Expressions will serve passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening featuring locally-sourced Maryland ingredients. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.  You could win ‘A Year of Dining,’ a collection of (at least) twelve $100 gift certificates to great Maryland restaurants. The raffle benefits AIWF Days of Taste®, a group that brings chefs and farmers into fourth and fifth grade classrooms to teach students in an engaging way about the importance of fresh food and how ingredients weave their way through daily life, from farm to table.

Winemakers will be on hand to answer any questions about wines; all wines will be available to purchase by the glass, bottle, or case.
