Upper Hudson Valley Wine & Grape Association

Yet another new a varied wine trail is blossoming in the Hudson Valley - The Upper Hudson Valley Wine and Grape Association. This new trail has more members than the Hudson Berkshire Beverage Trail or the Dutchess Wine Trail or the Thousand Island Wine Trail.

The current spokesman for the association is Gerry Barnhart, who is the owner of Victory View Vineyard, in Schaghticoke, New York. Right now the group acts like a professional support group, where vintners of northern climates swap and share information on extreme viticulture.

Some of the wineries are new up there, and a few are still in the midst of opening their tastingrooms, etc. But there is a lot going on in this region just north of Albany but south of the Thousand Islands region. The wineries will attract summer visitors from Saratoga and from Albany proper and its outlying suburbs.

Some of the active wineries include:
Altamont Winery Altamont, NY 12009
Amici Vineyard & Winery Valley Falls, NY 12185
Colebrook Country Wines Gansevoort, NY 12831
Johnston's Winery, Inc. Ballston Spa, NY 12020
Ledge Rock Hill Winery Corinth, NY 12822
Mountain View Winery Cambridge, NY 12816
Slyboro Cider House Granville, NY 12832
The Saratoga Winery Saratoga, NY 12866
Victory View Vineyard Schaghticoke, NY 12154
