Wow! Last night was the wine tasting reception at the annual Wineries Unlimited show in Valley Forge, PA. I traveled from Ghent, NY, to NYC, to Freehold, NJ, down to PA. It was a long trip! Afterwards, my hotel room felt like home.

But every year, like a little kid, I look forward to the reception as a tasting experience. You see so many people, and you taste so many wines. It's incredible. Last night I tried wines from as far down as Georgia, and as far north as Canada, and as far west as Ohio. Incredible.

And of course, there were many, many people.

Scott Osborn of Fox Run and Rich Olsen-Harbich of Raphael

Joe Greff of Blue Mountain. His wife Vicki was also there.

Richard Leahy, WU organizer, and a bottle of wine he made himself.

Joe Fiola from the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension
Bernard Cannac, winemaker at Heron Hill, and his lovely wife.

Paula & Fred From Cereghino Smith and Ian Barry the winemaker at Swedish Hill

Mike Fiore from Fiore Vineyards. He told me some wonderful stories that will be a completely separate blog post.

Art Hunt and his wife Joyce were also there, as well as many, many others.
