Heritage Station Vineyard Winery Merlot 2007

Heritage Station Winery is located in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. It is owned and operated by Bill, Penni and Richard Heritage. These three individuals are 5 th and 6 th generation farmers with an unrelenting passion for making great wine. Their 2005 Chambourcin which received the N.J.Governor’s Cup for one of the best red wines in the State.

The winery and vineyard sits on 100 acres of farm land. They have approximately 20 acres of vineyards and the rest is made up apples, peaches and pears.

Their 2007 Merlot was a dark ruby red color. As promised, there were aromas of black cherry & super ripe strawberry. The flavors that came across included dried cherry & strawberry and there were some toasty notes as well. A big fruity red, with firm tannins. A big, dry red wine. Very well balanced. Very nice.
Heritage Station is a very nice, award winning winery, and you definitley need to find their tastingroom and taste their wine! Enjoy!
